The Lot Radio
Celebrating 10 years of independent radio in NYC

The idea was simple: place a repurposed 20-foot shipping container on vacant land in Greenpoint and create an online radio station with a small kiosk coffee shop/bar. For the past 10 years, The Lot Radio has given music lovers a place to meet and share their knowledge—both online and IRL— capturing and broadcasting the wide spectrum of New York City’s ever-evolving music scene, one show at a time.
With thousands of shows in its archive awaiting a new website to become publicly accessible, the new site introduces a deep, searchable archive while maintaining the organization’s underground spirit.

Putting artists at the center
With over 800 artists and 200 residents, the website features dedicated detail pages for everyone who has played at The Lot over the years, presenting their information, recorded sessions, and produced tracks.

An ever-growing archive

Features designed for music lovers
This website is the result of hours of conversations and effort to push what an independent online radio station website could be. In addition to live broadcasting, the site includes a calendar, robust filtering system, time-stamped tracklists, chat rooms, and the ability for users to save their favorite sessions.
